G.R.A.C.E. believes that prospective adopters should have a chance to learn about the greyhounds available. See what they look like, ask questions about particular dogs, and ultimately choose a greyhound who will best suit their circumstances and enrich their lives.

• We help adopters choose dogs by providing detailed information about each dog and offering suggestions about which dogs would work best in the adopter’s environment.

• We do not place a dog in a home without the adopters full involvement in the decision-making process.

• All families with children ages 3 through 5 years must have a fenced in yard to adopt.  Due to the fact that we cannot conduct in home visits with young children to see the true interaction between the grey and the children we are updating our requirements raising the minimum age to 3.

Overall, Dawson is a lovely, sweet natured boy with a balanced and gentle energy that makes him a pleasure to be around. Dawson showed a healthy level of curiosity and confidence when introduced to novel items. While he had a light startle response, he quickly approached with interest and investigated without hesitation. He was also comfortable being left on his own, settling without distress. Overall, there's not much to note simply because Dawson handled everything wo well - he's a great, well rounded boy.

Here is my assessment: Brenton is a confident boy who can sometimes show a bit of dominant behavior, but he absolutely adores his toys. Even while muzzled he showed great determination - digging, pawing and trying to interact with the toys through his muzzle. He has striking color and markings that make him look like he could glow in the dark - truly a stunning dog. Brenton clearly enjoys human interaction and while enthusiastic about toys, he was respectful. He didn't jump on me or pester excessively, though he would excitedly bounce in front of me in anticipation. Brenton remained completely unfazed during all the resilience tests - he didn't move, flinch or even blink. He showed excellent tolerance and composure. Brenton is a striking beautiful boy with a strong prey drive that will require ongoing monitoring and management.

Here is my assessment: Elsa is a happy bouncy girl who clearly enjoys both human and canine company. She loved being involved in whatever I was doing and stayed close to me for most of the assessment, except when she was happily following the other dogs around. Squeaky toys sparked some zoomies when we were alone in the pen, though she was a bit hesitant to pick them up and play with them directly'. Overall, Elsa was affectionate, curious and eager to be part of the action. Elsa handled all the resilience tests with confidence and wasn't fazed at all - she stood her ground calmly throughout. While waiting in the van for her turn, she did cray and bark occasionally, likely due to anticipation or wanting to be part of the action.

	Hi everyone, my name is JK Time Bomb but you can call me Trippy. I had a pretty good racing career (111 Races) at Southland and Wheeling. Now I am getting ready for that next chapter in my life. I’m learning all kinds of retirement things like how not to counter surf, this big house is my home so I don’t soil it, any food I see may not be my food, and best of all, if I ask, I can be petted for as long as I want. A little about me; I am a people lover! Can’t get enough of them. I must be within sight of them at all times. Being petted it the absolute best thing in the world! And you will want to pet me because I am sooooo silky soft. Second comes eating. I haven’t met a food I don’t like. I’ve watched my hound mates and discovered at night I can jump on the people bed and snuggle aaallllll night long. A dream come true. I’ve had to go to the vet several times since I arrived in Michigan, had some intestinal issues that are now cleared up. I didn’t like getting in the car, had to be helped in. And being alone in the car was no fun. There should ALWAYS be a friend with me. Did I tell you I don’t like to be alone? Well, I don’t. When I’m awake I play nice with my hound friends. But when I’m asleep, I startle and grump at whoever has startled me. Sorry! I enjoy playing with toys but am kind of hard on them. I did eat a smaller one once. It made my belly upset and up it came after about a day. So, I guess smaller toys/pieces of toys are not for me. Something I’m embarrassed about is I can be stubborn at times. If I don’t feel like coming when called or get up when asked, I just lay there. If you want me up, pick me up. After all, I am a princess. Will your house be the one I grace?
