G.R.A.C.E. believes that prospective adopters should have a chance to learn about the greyhounds available. See what they look like, ask questions about particular dogs, and ultimately choose a greyhound who will best suit their circumstances and enrich their lives.

We help adopters choose dogs by providing detailed information about each dog and offering suggestions about which dogs would work best in the adopter’s environment.

We do not place a dog in a home without the adopters full involvement in the decision-making process.

All families with children ages 3 through 5 years must have a fenced in yard to adopt. Due to the fact that we cannot conduct in home visits with young children to see the true interaction between the grey and the children we are updating our requirements raising the minimum age to 3.

Updates: Otis is a little bit shy, He is a good boy in the house and has not had but 1 accident...my fault for not hearing him whine to go out. He is starting to play with the toys in the doggie toy box. My living room floor looks like a toy mine field. He was uncertain at first about going outside, but now goes in and out like a trooper. He has a healthy appetite and shows no food aggression. He will do well in a home that will allow him to adjust on his terms. He favors women over men and not too sure about kids. I think the kids make a lot of noise and he is not used to that. He is learning and every day he does better. |
